About the Event
HEPC organizes/participates in various international fairs both in India and abroad, however, due to the travel restrictions induced by the present COVID situation, many international events around the world were cancelled, depriving the opportunity for the buyers and sellers to meet. As the Govt. of India has started relaxing travel restrictions induced by the COVID pandemic for foreign visitors, paving way for buyers to visit India and source their import needs, HEPC proposes to organize a Handloom Sourcing Expo at Guwahati in Assam. The event is organized to provide market linkage to the manufacturers of handwoven textiles from NER. The event is scheduled to be held in Guwahati during 22-24 March 2022 as a B2B and B2C event.
Product on Display: All varieties of exclusive handwoven fabrics, made-ups, clothing accessories, Sarees, Dhotis etc from North East India
Visitors from: Bangladesh, Nepal Bhutan, MYanmar, Srilanka & India
The event will have the participation of 50 manufacturers (cooperatives, master weavers, National awardees, India Handloom Brand holders etc.) Of handwoven textile products exclusively from North Eastern Region of India ( Assam, Tripura, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Mizoram & Meghalaya).
Complimentary Travel Package
HEPC will be offering the following complimentary package to the selected overseas buyer/importer for visiting the Handloom Sourcing Expo at least for a minimum of two days during event days 22-24, March 2022
- To and Fro Air fare to Guwahati (Economy Class fair) subject to a maximum of USD450/- or actual whichever is less per person to be provided as reimbursement
- Two nights’ accommodation at a Star category Hotel In Guwahati
Eligibility criteria
a) Only foreign passport holders are eligible to apply for the complimentary package.
b) All buyers should be in the textile business for at least 3 years.
c) The ticket offered will be a non-endorsable, non-transferable, restricted economy ticket.
d) Each company will be entitled to get one restrid economy onward and return airfare for one person only.
e) A minimum of two days visit to the event during event days
The air ticket has to be purchased by the buyer at his/her own cost. The buyer will be reimbursed the cost of his/her air ticket as per the limit specified above on the last day of the visit to the fair at the fair venue (Fair Secretariat) on submission of the following documents:
- E-Ticket Copy.
- Copy of Invoice of E-Ticket.
- One passport size photograph.
- Passport Copy.
- Visa Copy.
- Form No. 1 (To be provided by HEPC during fair days on arrival at the fair venue).
- Feedback Form (To be provided by HEPC during fair days on arrival at the fair venue).
