The Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Employment in collaboration with the National Statistical Bureau, will be carrying out a nation-wide Industrial Establishment Census 2024 – a complete enumeration of Industrial establishments (Cottage, Small, Medium and Large Industries) in the country for the Reference Year 2023 – to determine their GDP contribution and employment amongst others. As this is the first of its kind census, the findings would also be useful for formulation of policies, plans and programmes and for transforming sectoral issues of the industries through appropriate support measures.
Therefore, the BCCI requests its members to kindly extend full support and cooperation to the enumerators deployed for the Census.
The Census will commence from 17th February2024 till the end of March 2024.
