Research & Strategy Department (RSD)

The Research & Strategy Department (RSD) serves as the key research and policy advocacy arm of the Chamber. It undertakes research, prepares advocacy papers, and provides recommendations to support effective dialogue and advocacy on private sector issues. The department coordinates public-private sector dialogues and focused group discussions on private sector development and broader economic matters. It also engages in the formulation, review, and interpretation of in-house policy documents, while representing and analysing government policies, Acts, rules, regulations, and other frameworks that impact the private sector. Additionally, RSD spearheads research activities for SMEs development, including the ODTP project. The main components under its workplan are Market Facilitation and Research Studies, and Public Private Dialogue.
