Training offer: Quality Infrastructure for Sustainable Development

The German Metrology Institute, The Physikalisch-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) within the scope of the technical cooperation with the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) will be organizing a blended learning course on Quality Infrastructure for Sustainable Development (QuISP).

QuISP is a unique training concept providing an introduction to quality infrastructure is to raise awareness of young professionals working in fields related to trade negotiations and agreements. The course encourages the establishment of lasting professional relationships between course participants and resource persons. This supports the exchange of information and experience for continuous advancement of quality infrastructure in the partner countries. Topics such as technical regulations, trade agreements, and regional economic integration will be discussed as well.

The blended learning course consists of two face-to-face workshops and a tutor-guided three-month e-learning phase. The first workshop (Kick-off workshop) will be held on February 25-28, 2019 in Colombo, Sri Lanka and the final workshop, on July 1-5, 2019 in Braunschweig, Germany. The course is intended for young trade professionals who are proficient in English, as the course will be conducted exclusively in English.

PTB will fully sponsor the participants from SAARC member states in the kick-off workshop and final workshop events.
