Our People

Mr. Topgyal Dorji of the Tashi group of companies is the elected new president of the Bhutan chamber of commerce and industry (BCCI). “It means a lot to me because my late father (Dasho Ugen Dorji) started this chamber and now it’s my turn to do something,” was his statement after getting elected as the new President. Mr. Topgyal Dorji was elected through an election held on April 2, 2009 where nominations were made from the business community through respective thromdhey thuemis of 20 dzongkhags and the secretariat of 12 business sector associations.

Mr. Chen Chen Dorji is the Chief Executive Officer of the Rigsum Institute of Information Technology and Management. He was elected as the vice-presidents of BCCI through an election held on April 2, 2009 where nominations were made from the business community through respective thromdhey thuemis of 20 dzongkhags and the secretariat of 12 business sector associations. He was also the Chairman of ICT Association of Bhutan prior to his new post as the Vice President of BCCI.

Thinlay Palden Dorji is from Bhutan Marble. He was elected as the vice-presidents of BCCI through an election held on APril 2, 2009 where nominations were made from the business community through respective thromdhey thuemis of 20 dzongkhags and the secretariat of 12 business sector associations.

Mr. Phub Tshering is the Secretary General of Bhutan Chamber of Commerce and Industry. He was the former superintendent engineer of the Bhutan Information, Communication and Media Authority (BICMA) before he took over as the new Secretary General of BCCI on August 28, 2006 with the conferring of the Tashi Khadar (ceremonial scarf) by the BCCI president, Dasho Ugen Dorje.
Mr. Phub Tshering was selected by a panel of committee members comprising the chamber’s executive committee members on August 1, 2006.

Dawa Mr. Dawa Tshering is the Chief Administrative Officer of the Bhutan Camber of Commerce and Industry. Prior to his joining BCCI, he worked as the Administrative Officer under the Royal Safety and Transport Authority, Ministry of Information and Communication, Thimphu
