Bhutan - India Regional Friendship Trade Fair (BIRFTC 2010) will be held at Gelephu and it is a first of its kind held at the regional level.
Why Gelephu?
Gelephu is situated on the southern belt of Bhutan and it shares the border with Assam, India. It is one commercial hub within the country catering to half of the southern and central districts. Gelephu is a transist hub for upcoming mega projects in Bhutan such as Punatshangchu Hydro Power Project I & II, Dagachu Hydro Power Project, Mangdechhu Hydro Power Project, Railway link, Domestic Airport, etc. The proposed event in a small way, shall serve as a catalyst in strengthening cross-border partnership.

Theme:
The theme for this trade fair is “Enhancing Cross - Border Partnerships”.
Objective:
The objective of this fair is to create promotional platform on trade and commerce at the regional level, to develop people to people contacts and friendship, thereby enhancing cross-border relationship, creating a foundation for cross border business links and tie ups. The event will be an ideal opportunity to make headway into the southern and central markets, which is oriented towards facilitating the exhibitors and buyers in opening new channels for trade and commerce in sectors, products and services.
Display Profile:
The trade fair will attract manufacturers, exporters, trading organizations, entrepreneurs and micro & women enterprises, who are in the business of:

The event will witness other allied activities such as product launching, awareness creation programs, seminars, cultural evenings, etc.
Allotment of Stalls:
The stalls will be allotted on first—come– first served basis. Early payment will ensure an appropriate location.
Fair Timing:
The fair would be opened for visitors and general public from 09.00 am to 09.00 pm
